Meet Grizzly

This is our new puppy, Grizzly, a little Cocker Spaniel. We got him off of KSL a week ago and are finding out what having a puppy is really like. In my limited experience, it really feels like what I would imagine it being like having a kid! Obviously, not emotionally, I know there is a huge difference. But even with all the time and effort drainage he consumes, he is a great little puppy. The pictures say it all. He is loyal...
...curious...
...adorable...
...ambitious...
...and definitely a boy!

Daybreak Art Walk

The Daybreak Art Walk was the last weekend in March. It was an awesome experience to be able to collect my art work and show it to the public for the first time ever! Thanks to Steve and his handy man skills for putting it all up:) I believe there were over 200 people that came all together, which might not be amazing, but still pretty cool. (by the way, thanks to all those who were able to come!!!) There are some great fellow artists in the club. It was good to get to know them over the course of the event. I'm also looking forward to getting a lot more artwork done over the summer! I'm sure there will be a lot more time for that here in a couple of weeks even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, the butterfly was an oil painting created for the Charity for the event. www.spidermanfightscancer.com explains more about his story. Sweet little boy. The painting was from a photo taken on our Honeymoon in Mexico at the Xcaret Zoo Butterfly building. It was a fun painting to do.

Sara's birfday.

So Sara's birthday party in Provo was simply beautiful, perhaps the most humourous part of it was Steve's balloon popping game. Somehow, he would stuff random items in the balloons, such as cupcakes, pill boxes, posters, straws, chips, spoons, etc... So he tacked the blown up balloons with the other birthday decor on the ceiling and it was Sara's "birthday girl" responsibility to pop them with her thumb tac. Out flew the random items and if Jessie would permit, Sara could keep the random item. Good times.

This is Jessie and Steve anticipating the "surprise!" in the darkened decorated Living Room.

Since the last post...

Okay so it's been... months since the last post:) I totally apologize for all those who might have been upset at the lack of updates. The above photos are a hage-pa-lage of images from the last few months. In short, all you really missed was a Christmas trip to Cali. (complimented by a trip to Sacramento temple and San Fransisco), a visit from the Wedge, a laparoscopy, a surprise birthday party for the Bear, and a looong semester at SLCC which is almost over for my teaching license!!!!
