He's here!!!!

Lucas Elijah Jensen has finally arrived :) We are completely love struck by our sweet little infant and totally enjoy his peaceful presence in our home.
He came about Tuesday afternoon, just 8 minutes shy of 24 hours after I began contracting. It was the shortest 24 hour period I've ever experienced- with all sorts of highs and lows. 4 major things I learned/ was reminded of through out that night and day are priceless to me:
1) I absolutely LOVE my husband!!!! and could not do with out him in life and particularly in labor.
2) I'm pretty sure there isn't any more fulfilling, sacred or more beautiful experience in the world than giving birth to your child! To even attempt to recapture the event in writing is completely overwhelming.
3) "Opposition in all things" is extremely evident in labor and delivery. Where else can you feel such extremes within emotions, physical pain and joy, fear and faith, etc? I remembered that faith conquers fear.
4) I really, really, really liked the epidural :)

We're so happy for you! It was fun to get a little peek at him today--he's beatiful (if I can say that for a boy.) Let me know if there is anything I can do for you!

YAY!! He is so cute. Congrats. I loved my epidural also. I don't know how people do without it. Well, I hope to meet him soon. Enjoy the tiny stage cause he will grow really quick.

Sincerely, Lori
